Follow up on "Finally decided to service my 2002 NAP-500"

When I owned the 500 none DR I had medium Fraim levels, okay the 500DR now has more space with the tall legs separating the 552 but neither runs warm.

My non DR 500 is not even close to warm (top floor though). My NDS is much hotter.

Hi,

well, what can I say after two weeks allowing the 500 to get comfy again ?

The sound is very much what one can hope for: the bass is tighter and very precise, the mids and the highs produce a wonderful sound stage. Wonderful! I am so glad to have finally done this service, the amp, (and I) deserved it.

My appreciation goes to LASA and Sandro for having worked on a tight schedule to get this done in one day.

Finally, I must thank NAIM for providing this kind of service to “old kits”, bringing them back to specs, allowing people continuous enjoyment from their gear. Not many manufactures do this!

Not everybody Is capable or financially able to afford new high level gear costs, after a certain age, at least  .To me specifically, mine NAIM kit is MINE Emotionally!

Regards,

Salvo

Naim servicing old kit is one of the key differentiators of the company. People are freaked out when they hear my system and then i tell them the amps are well over 30 years old (olive 72/hc/250) - recapped 3 times.
