Yes the one set are the Titanium ones which are specified for use under racks only and Chord warn that they should not be used beneath speakers. To quote them “superb under racks, but beneath speakers loads of detail but no music!”.

Will just make a bigger hole in the carpet, spikes and a small slit in the carpet, or even just through the carpet is the way to go.

Yes, I agree.
Spikes are usually sharp enough to easily go through a carpet and into the floorboard. Just push a bit ! No palaver cutting carpets - grief, no, the missus would go berserk… !

Cutting slits actually causes less damage than just pushing the spikes through. With small standmounts there often isn’t enough weight to ensure a stable connection to the floor unless you make slits, especially if you have high quality thick wooly underlay.
Pozidrive screw into floor and then the tip of spike in the head .
Minimum contact area and no rocking movement.
The point contact is better just like how Naim cups and balls are far better than balls on nuts. Ooer
