Fraim glass size and Fraimlite

I am about to embark on adding some glass (plus puck & balls) to my Fraimlite. Searching the Forum tells me that the glass size should be 452mm * 338mm * 10mm.
So it got me thinking, how did the boffins at Naim come to choosing that size and why not something simpler such as 45034010 ??
Does the 2mm really make such a difference ?

Can’t imagine so. I would have thought differing fraim leg heights and varying weight of equipment would have more of a sonic effect than a few mms of glass dimensions
