I have the same issue with my Krell KSA-50. I just about manage to squeeze it onto an Ash Designs Cosmic rack, and even then I had to remove the rear ‘cable tidy’ panel as the amp’s speaker terminals foul the back panel of the rack. I think that the Simrack would have the same depth issue. I don’t really want to add a separate amp support platform just for the Krell, and I need 6 shelves to house the streamer, preamp and power supplies. The turntable and the phono stage/PSU are on two Quadraspire wall shelves. First world problems, I know..

I also added glass plates (tempered glass similar to Full Fraim) to the Fraim Lite. Following the suggestion of @Xanthe ((Click here) I used silicon nitride balls and brass cups. It was a clear upgrade and a relatively inexpensive solution. I can’t directly compare whether it is actually equivalent to Full Fraim, but I am satisfied with the solution.

Well done. Looks lovely.

PS….. another Fraim/Aura user here. A wonderful combination.

Thanks Toon,
The Aura replaced an Aria once heard there was no going back, bit of beast though
There is definitely an uplift in clarity since moving it onto the fraim with glass beneath it.
Sat here now waiting for fedex to deliver some Auva footers to replace my isoacoustics gaia (if theres an improvement)
never been to keen on my speakers rocking about
thanks again Cooky

I’d be interested to hear how you get on with the Auvas as I have Gaia II under my speakers and love them.

I’ve had gaia s under my speakers since i got them never tried the spikes they came with
before that they were under my pmc floorstanders so they’ve set a fairly high bar to clear.
we shall see I mean hear
I will certainly let you know how I get on

Anyone have any views as to whether a 2nd FraimLite base would add anything to the isolation characteristics of the FraimLite rack?

Thinking of getting an additional shelf, so the shelf plus base pack might make (some) sense?

I think it will be similar to the Fraim base and makes sense to do it.

I had a fair bit of Fraimlite in my system (it’s in the conservatory now used as shelving for other stuff) and found the Fraim cups and balls brought it up to Fraim level, albeit without the cut outs.

I now only have full Fraim in system.
