Forgot to mention, it’s the same with Todd Rundgren’s own albums. Tried it several times over the few decades, and always stopped listening after two or three songs.

So What is a composition of a great musician, Miles Davis. Why mentioned in a talk about some small scale talents, like Zappa or Rundgren?
The reference does not relate to Miles Davis. It is from a track on ‘You are what you is’ album. Give it a listen, you might like it.

I listened to this album in LP format when it came out, nothing remains in my memory. Unlike Miles’ compositions.
At least you listened to it. Obviously Frank and Todd are not for you. You and @Stan have a much more sophisticated musical taste, than myself. Your into Miles Davis, which is fine. It would be a very dull world if, we all liked the same. Hope you have a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Of course, music is different and tastes too. But it was you, who mentioned So What, so comparison is on you, and not in the favour of Zappa clearly. Have a great day too.

A list of words/concepts. One can turn it the other way around, it would be just as “profound”.
You obviously do not like Frank Zappa or Todd Rundgren. So why do you persist with your negative comments, we have already got the message 
I’m sure you can go and do something less boring instead.

Well, I see no reason to mix Zappa and Rundgren, too different. That is first. Second, when somebody adores someone, somebody else should raise a voice against – just to keep balance in the world. Also, I like Zappa to some extent, and still listen to some of his albums, which I started listen back in 70s. I believe he is okay musician. All I have is a kind of natural disgust when someone is labeled a “genius”.
