No one is else here using Furutech power cables on their Naim kit?

@naimophile uses a hybrid approach which I’m sure is fantastic. Someday I may swap my Furutech with the Powerline on my nDAC just to see what happens.

What keeps you from trying it right now?:winking_face_with_tongue:

Honestly nothing!

For my Canadian brother @daren_p if the M’s win tonight against the Blue Jays I’ll be in a happy mood and I’ll swamp out my Powerline. Lol

Well, they didn’t, but good luck tonight.

I installed the new FI-50NCF R plugs on both my PowerLines yesterday, one is feeding my SCDR for the 252 & the other for my 300DR. Based on what I have experienced previously, I guess it isn’t a real surprise to find the stock Wattgates are significantly holding back performance. Had a short listen after install & a step up in natural timbre & greater transparency were immediate standouts. Let them run in for ~10hrs during the day & had a listen at night & the balance had changed, bass was initially slightly recessed from normal but on second listen it had swung to fuller/more powerful then normal. Likely won’t spend too much time listening over the next couple weeks as they run in.

 LOL Thanks!

So true! When I try this I’m now thinking my HiCapDR and DAC will be first to be replaced. I have 5 Powerlines so replacing them all will take time ($$)…

Every 50NCF connector I add to my system keeps amazing the sh*t out of me haha. I had a schuko 50NCF already on 1 end of a Belden power cable with a FI28 (R) IEC connector. This cable is just for my Marantz surround received and was OK but sounded rather grey and lifeless. I just switched the 28 to the 50 IEC and right from the start there is a HUGE improvement!! So much more clarity, detail, silence and timbre to instruments. Crazy. Once the IEC is broken in I will swap the Belden cable for a Furutech S022N to see whether that improves things further. I’ll try the cable on my Naim equipment as well. Knowing these connectors, the burn in will last at least a month so you will have to wait for my findings on what it does to Naim equipment.

Please let us know how it goes, that’s one cable I’m giving strong consideration.

The S022N offers outstanding price vs performance. I used this on my DAC & phono stage first (paired with FI-50 NCF R connectors) before swapping to the S55N cable. They are very similar in presentation just the S55N offer a bit more top end extension & a bit more bottom end weight.

Have you tried S032N?

Keep us posted on your findings. As I was swapping ends on the PL’s, I thought even harder about just swapping for a complete FI-50 NCF/S55N combo. The PL’s are supposed to be copper I believe but looks like their plated, maybe just tin? (which got me wondering what a better grade copper would add) & the decoupling of the IEC end on the PL is great but the FI-50’s are supposed to offer dampening as well plus the benefits of NCF. I know some cables sometimes offer better “hifi” aspects at the expense of “Naim sound” but all the Furutech products I’m using so far have not only drastically improved the “hifi” aspects, they have also retained or even improved the “Naim sound”.

Definitely will keep posting here about the progress.

No, haven’t tried that one. My plan was to use the S022N on less critical components (have them now on my streamer & TT power supply) but was curious what they would sound like on my source components. So tried them on the source components first, before moving them down the chain & then installing the S55N on the source components.

So haven’t tried the inbetweener, but if I ever get around to getting my subs back in (one of my excuses is I don’t have proper power cords that are long enough), I was thinking the S032N might be a good comprise vs the more expensive S55N. Though installing them on the subs & likely pairing them with the FI-15+ (R) ends won’t give me any idea how they compare :upside_down_face:

I guess you mean Little Loco and Sonnet?

Correct, except when I installed/swapped those cable I was using the Simaudio 310LP phono.

Any mid-break-in update?

Minor thread drift so I apologize upfront. I just read an old post of yours P8 vs 333, very interesting as I’m considering a TT for my SN3. Curious that you thought the P6 was equal level as the 333. Perhaps I should consider the P6 over the P8 to save $ for more Furutech plugs…
