My games of choice at the moment are Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead online which I play on PC. I have an Xbox Series S as well but mainly use the PC.
I’ve had a few consoles over the years starting with a Binatone TV Master 6 in the late 70s.
I’ve played the story a few times, i now mostly play online at the moment trying to work my way to level 1000. I’m currently at level 592 so still a fair way to go.
I really wanted to be a video gamer as I’ve had some evidence over the years that it’s improved my hand eye co-ordination. Important for all but perhaps more so with a VI?
Problem has always been that I’ve read reviews of games and thought they sounded great only to find the actual game almost never lived up the reviews. With some small exceptions I ended up gravitating towards video representations of real sports e.g. Geoff Crammond’s Grand Prix, FIFA and PES.
Given that I can now do literally everything I need to on an iPad Pro, I’ve limited myself recently to the latest version of PES but also rediscovered The Logical Journey Of The Zoombinis which the step child, offspring and now eldest grand-child all love.
Deleted PES last week as I found it consuming an hour a day and that hour felt better used creatively i.e. songwriting.
Hardware wise I am using a tablet to type this (EDIT: lounging in the conservatory with a G&T to hand LOL), but it bears no comparison to my serious spec (but not the absolute tops) gaming “desktop” machine.
Me and the wife played ghost recon wild lands co op on two separate Xbox in two separate rooms with an open door between us it did tax the brain we also played the division 1&2 co op as well on both games you had to work as a team to complete missions
