I’ve just known about the very interesting technology in the field of semiconductors. Say, a gallium nitride(GaN) charger is a small brick less than a cigarette pack and has the output power more that 200VA.
I’m curious, is there any hi-fi power amplifiers based on this technology? To me, these semiconductors can make power amplifiers significantly smaller by solving issues with the heat dissipation.
I believe Technics use GaN fets in their outputs.

Google on manufacturer GaN Systems; they have a 2020 white paper showing applications and why their technology is better than two other industry players. Same search should reveal commercial products built around their transistors.
Lots out there in Class D land for sure.
