Anyone knows what kind of tree this is?

Using Google Lens on the top fruit, I get Cornelian Cherry.
Yoh might be able to check with a close up from your phone?

Thank you. I think you’re right. My gardener decided that this is a good tree for our garden. My wife requested fruit bearing trees and this must be the reason for having this tree.

Can you eat them?

I’ve eaten one 6 hours ago and I’m still alive

It’s a kind of sour cherry. I’ll need to lookup recipes, but likely birds are more keen to get them.

They might make a good jam or chutney.

That’s a good idea. It’s on our bucket list to make our own jam since we have all sorts of fruits in the garden.

I’ve done the primer and first layer of concrete this evening in the gardenhouse. I’m tired.

Don’t eat them! There is no Hifi here, just angels singing and blowing trumpets, but since everything is made of gold, there are awful reflections in the room.

Butterflies slowly making an appearance

Just read an online article, we have seen no frogs or hedgehogs this year. Apparently, there has been a significant decline due to unseasonable weather in 2022 and 2023.
There has been a significant increase in butterflies and bees in the last week.

Nice

Thanks, the pictures were very lucky, the verbena got to about seven feet tall, then the wind made it bow over. The flower in the picture is actually resting on the kitchen window. So a relatively budget phone camera through the double glazing.

Verbena: small flowers, but lots of bees! I’ve them in the plan for next year.
