Visited there in my Evora (Lotus) . Nice Roman town and good roads around.

We have visited Bragg and NE Portugal which we like . So far just passed Elvira whilst heading towards Merida and Caceres in Spain.
Beja and Sherpa are next on our list. Sherpa cheese and wine from that area are very good.

Ordered bulbs for a lasagne pot.
Trick being that all are white or mostly white . Tulips are usually a bit of a no/no with me as they are not that pollinator friendly , though I have stacks of botanical tulips . These daffodils are pollinator friendly -as they are botanical species. The muscari are very bee friendly .
A lot of pots were given away so this year will have less of a display.
I also have had to say good bye to my wildlife pond, as I have a toddler living next door , and I didn’t want an accident . That will be sowed with wild plant seeds to make a small wild life friendly area .

As our climate now seems to finish dwarf beans earlier than before I’ve tried a second planting in August. Looking at the flowers I wrongly thought they hadn’t pollinated only to be pleasantly surprised when I looked under the plants. An abundance of fresh beans at the end of September.

In future I think I’ll stagger crops. I’ll grow less of each and repeat over a longer period because I’m certain the growing season has been extended by at least a month. The downside being that higher temperatures are reducing the cropping period.

Just ordered today (stock picture) . I am not sure how long I am going to remain in this house, but the garden is presenting difficulties - owing to my wonky knees, the rose bed is hopelessly overgrown and drastic and uncomfortable action is called for.
2/3rds of the roses are going , I will have chipped bark put down and a small dwarf crab apple will replace them .
The bees will love it and maybe I will get some crab apple jelly
