Here’s any years ago I used to attend a monthly gathering at a local dealer where like-minded people brought vinyl or CDs to listen on equipment selected by the dealer. It got a bit staid so I suggested a “guilty pleasures” evening - tracks you liked but didn’t like to admit.
My choice was Ain’t no sunshine - the Michael Jackson version & as backup my son’s choice Dreadlock Holiday.
One guy brought in a Cliff Richard medley so I didn’t feel so bad.
I got this idea as a topic after reading & contributing to “songs you can’t stand”
Feel free to participate…. Tom.an outline about what this category is all about
LazyTown was a programme we all sat down to watch when my children were under 5. Each episode had a themed song, all enjoyable, but this one stood out as a great pop song.
But I do sometimes play Jurassic 5’s Concrete Schoolyard.
And I cannot resist the super-tight beat and Tim Dog’s wildly OTT aggressive and boastful lyrics, tinged with irony towards the end of BX We Invented Hip-Hop - when someone tells him: “Chill, dog, chill. They had enough. They can’t take no more.”
