Since no one has mentioned them yet, or, at least, I can’t find a reference, and there are plenty of Dead Can Dance tracks in the comments, I’ll nominate This Mortal Coil’s cover of ‘Song to the Siren’. Elizabeth Fraser’s voice is perfection on this, as on so many Cocteau Twins tracks.

Obviously my search for TMC was a bit pants 
but am happy to see the love for one of my go-to bands of all-time. Agree wholeheartedly on ‘Heaven or Las Vegas’. A truly great album.

Steve Winwood was a client of mine when I was working as a solicitor some years ago. He was always immaculately dressed - usually wearing jeans and a tweed jacket. He was married to a Texan lady, Eugenia (‘Gina’), who would always interpose herself to tell me what Steve’s thoughts were, as if he couldn’t speak for himself!
