The first time I heard Zep 2 I was about 13 and was very impressionable and can remember hearing the Lemon Song and the lyrics wow! And then Heartbreaker “Hey fellas have you heard the news heartbreak Annie…”. Ramble On I didn’t recognise the Tolkien connection at the time but still blown away.

For me I think I was 15, though might have been the following year. I had taken my hifi system to the Scout hut to use as a music system for the our annual play just before Christmas. On a rehearsal day when we were there all day one of the older Scouts brought in LZ2 and during a break we put it on. Loud. Whole lotta love hooked me instantly - the rest was glorious icing on the cake - I bought it immediately after.
