HDD output for Headphone Amp Connection

No. You could open up the plug and cut the wires that aren’t used off if you want to be tidy but there is no need. Just tape them up so they don’t touch each other or anything else.

You can always do what I have done and use the two spare IN rca plugs to connect an existing source , e.g. streamer etc.
I have mine connected to my Phono stage. I just select HDD when I want to listen to my turntable. The OUT from the HDD socket is constant regardless of input selected, so you can use your headphone amp with any source.

Good idea! Actually my phono pre-amp is already connected…but it’s worth a try: thus I could get rid of one cable

would you mind to share the brand of the cable used and what’s the SQ compare to headphone amp without going through SN?
Thanks. Kwan

Hi Kangar

I use a Flashback 5 Din to 4RCA cable. Very good quality.
The HP sound through my Graham Slee HP amp is a vast improvement on the XS2’s HP out.

Thanks, I will check out flashback and probably try out on my SN2.
