The NDS/555PS is far away ahead of the DAC/555PS in terms of musical enjoyment. It’s in a whole different league. According to my ears. Your mileage may vary.
Thinking about streaming to the HDX, can’t you do that using a computer via USB?

No, you can’t. What you can do is give the HDX access to music stores on the computer over your network, but not via USB.
