@Richard.Dane same issue for me too, first picture type which is the newer version I think, now gathering dust in a drawer…
Thought it was just me, but obviously not!

I got mine back from my dealer yesterday along with my 222. They repaired it for me and it sounds as good as ever
@Richard.Dane, just sent my cable back to the dealer. No rush to get it back, so Naim can keep it as long as needed to implement any new design repair. Happy to share the dealer name and RMA number as needed.
That would be great. I can then let Naim know to look out for it and examine.
Thanks for that. The dealer is Audio Affair and the cable was returned with RMA number RMA357647. It’s on the way by post currently.
Thanks I’ll pass on the info.
Exactly the same with me. I only used my brand new lavender once, plugged the RCA leads into my dac and pulled them out later by the fitting. The connection was very tight so the RCA pin was left in the dac and the fitting and wire came away (pin refitted in the photo). As others have done i returned the cable for a refund and bought a Mogami interconnect instead, which was well constructed
@Richard.Dane and everyone else, a quick update: The cable arrived at the dealer last Thursday and within a few hours it was sent back to me (received it on Friday). It seems that the dealer repaired the cable themselves (same box and seems to be the same code on the cable). That was a very fast turn-around!
I am back in Brussels and the cable is at my relative in the UK, so it will be a few months before I can try it again. No idea if it will be better this time.
I assume that means it didn’t go back to Naim for inspection?
Indeed, the cable was delivered at 12:45 last Thursday and posted back at 17:00 on the same date, so impossible to have gone back to Naim.
I emailed the dealer to ask what they did, but I haven’t got a reply so far.
The dealer who repaired mine said it was a simple soldering job
I guess it is, but if one simply resolders the broken cable, without any rearrangement on how the signal -ve and the rest of the cable is secured in place, there is no change in the fragility of the construction, so it is bound to fail again sooner or later.
Im planning on taking mine back to audio T today/tomorrow I will ask them to send it back to naim for inspection,
Or I’m happy at my expense to send straight to naim
Luckily your integrated didn’t disconnect though.
I’ve got a couple of these, again in line with @GrumpyOLDvinylJUNKY, I can always send on to Naim if they want to take a look.
I think best to go through the usual RMA system via the dealer. Once you have an RMA number, let me know and I’ll forward it to Naim.
@Richard.Dane Dropped lead off, I don’t have RMA number yet, the boss man is going to phone Naim support, and get back to me, what a faff,
Yup it’s a bit crap, got two of them and manufacture is obviously sub standard based on all the responses and yet at the beginning remember being told was a ham fisted muppet because Naim was beyond reproach.
Paraphrasing somewhat and some artistic license but I just gave up with something that was obviously not fit for purpose and actually suspected could be fake.
Sometimes life’s too short to jump through the hoops and easier to move on.
They are in their packs, in pieces and won’t be used and I won’t waste anymore time on them.
Yes the approx £250 is a pain in the hole, but more important uses of time, Naim could offer a refund for their manufacturing issue.
I won’t hold my breath and it’s not an anti Naim statement just an acceptance of how the world is on the whole.
