Bluetooth is disabled both on the Atom and the Blu-ray player. Why do you think this is relevant?

From the manual “This function is disabled during connection with a Bluetooth device. Audio format may be changed during Bluetooth connection”. Have you tried the upscale option to check that it isn’t simply that CD isn’t 48kHz?

I have just tried the upscale option (DSEE HX), but to no avail. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I checked the box for my player and the model number is the same as yours. Perhaps its a USA version and the Toslink is not included everywhere. I am feeding my Samsung 55 with it.
