I use a Toshiba 2TB HDD in my Core - it’s one I had going spare, so I thought why not use that rather than buy another one. I put it in the Core, and started ripping discs and it has been going fine ever since without any issues. Nice and quiet too.
However, if yours has stopped working it seems your Toshiba HDD may have died or has an issue of some sort.
