good morning everyone. I need your usual precious advice. I have an icap dr that since it was moved from the furniture fraim of a floor has started to make a continuous annoying buzz. can you help me? Thank you so much everyone
Is it a consistent Buzz that occurs 24x7, or does it vary a little, and change throughout the day?
What happens if you turn it upside down, or place it on its side? Same buzz or does it stop?
Between me and gadgetman, we are thinking either dc offset, or mechanical buzz caused by a loose transformer bolt.
Before being moved up a shelf the buzzing was occasional, now unfortunately in the new position it is constant 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
What’s on the shelf above and below the hicap?
above I have Eversolo below nd5xs
I suppose the transformer mounting may need checking
so it will have to be taken to the repair shop, which I wanted to avoid because it is very far from my home

Did the move also entail connecting it to a different mains outlet?
yes I tried to change the socket from a protected power strip to one without protection, I redid the change but nothing changed

If it is just a matter of checking the transformer mountings, then any electrical repair shop should be able to help you with that. What you dont want is to allow any non-naim dealer to change any parts.
