Hi, I currently have a classic HiCap non DR (03.12.08) on my Superline. After a chat with my dealer regarding a DR upgrade he said that it would be more cost effective to buy a brand new HiCap DR.
My question is has anyone made the move from non DR to DR HiCap on a Superline and what improvement if any it made to the sound.

Hi Graham - The Superline Burndy socket is probably feeling rather unloved so maybe directing funds towards a preloved Supercap DR might gain you more compared to a move from Hicap to Hicap DR ?
Indeed James, moving slowly towards a s/h Supercap but next in line is Radical, a HiCap DR would only be stopgap and I am just curious if its even worth the change.

I’ve not heard that comparison but I suspect that won’t be a great improvement for the money. I’d hold out for the Supercap after the Radical.
Yes, had my 2006 HC serviced and DR’d. Bigger soundstage and more resolution.
