Hiding UPnP Servers in Naim App?

I’m sure I know the answer to this, but thought I’d check in case I was overlooking something –

Is it possible to hide or toggle off specific UPnP servers that appear in the Server list on the App…?

I have a new Sonos Arc Soundbar in a bedroom and the damn thing is broadcasting itself as a UPnP based server on the LAN, a function I’m never going to use – finding it really annoying seeing it there in the Naim App…!
I think normally you would terminate the function at the server end but Sonos being Sonos there appears no way to turn it off…I know I could throw the Sonos into a separate VLAN and keep it walled away from my audio gear, but Sonos kit is notorious for being picky with multicast communication etc and the added complication is I’m heavily Ubiquiti based re my network and the two don’t play ball easily at the best of times, so I’d prefer to keep a working setup as simple as poss….

A menu preference on which available UPnP servers to display in the App would be ideal…! :pray:t2:

I have 3 Sonos devices that appear in the Naim app! It would be nice to be able to hide these.

UPnP servers broadcast their presence by design. Just select the one you use and ignore the others.

Yes, I know….

I’m just highlighting the fact that, as you cannot shut of the broadcast at the Sonos end, it would be nice if you could choose which servers to display in the Naim App…First world problem I know, but just somewhat annoying glancing at a server I’m never going to select and use – I’m not sure looking the other way is a particularly elegant solution!…I can’t even rename the Sonos UPnP from the Arc’s default, so I have a rather nice IP address and appended name…!

Would work, to an extent, if the Naim App was at least persistent with it’s selected server…However, if you flick around the App and between different sources etc and then go back to the Servers section, more often than not it will revert to the ‘home’ list of available servers on the LAN….

Depending on your router, you might be able to block your streamer from the IP addresses of unwanted upnp servers

Or if you’ve got a more capable router/home network setting, you can use VLANs to segregate the traffic (I’ve got my Sonos devices on my IoT network, so they’re not visible to my ND555 which is on the general home network).

Th only trouble with segregating Sonos and Naim devices on their own VLANs is configuring access to both from controller devices (phones, tablets).

This is how it’s done in asset, if anyone is interested:-
