The NAS shuts down. Not good for the hdds.
Historically I had a firestick plugged into an Oppo BR player that failed, I suspect due to heat. I plugged a small USB fan into the USB socket and got the air moving.
But, I agree. PITA.

10TB of storage installed.
Array & share created.
Subset of files copied from main NAS, using SSH as explorer appears to be flaky.
Main NAS only comes on 2000 to 0100 Fri to Mon, when we watch films.
I am toying with expanding the storage on the Lincserver so that the Synology will be a resilient backup.
