I will create a separate thread for the Stuttgart Hifi event and the upcoming Milan event, and keep this one focussed on Vienna….
I have been at the Norddeutschen HiFi Tage in Hamburg. Too sad that they changed the hotel.
Yes @BertBird it would be exciting to hear about these exhibitions as well. Thank you very much for the detailed reports from Vienna. A lot of work went into them.
And I was happy that we met and got to know each other in Vienna. Thank you for taking the initiative on that, too!
Thanks Wilfried - still a bit of work to do to complete Vienna, but I guess I will now first do Stuttgart as it is fresh and I made a lot of notes to increase the depth of the report….
So it’s not the Vermeer then. I tried to enlarge but don’t see the name well. But it looks very similar to the Vermeer.
Looks like an interesting CD player.
I guess somebody on the forum should be in a position to identify the player. The player was mentioned in the context of the full active player. The guy told us that he just needed a player with volume control or a pre-amp. He told this was a 10/15 year old CD player. And that they had zero streaming on board.
Its an Audio Aero La Source, CD/SACD player, DAC, and preamp.
Thanks. So it’s the same company, Vermeer and Audio Aero.
I started a special thread which now includes the first parts of the Stuttgart report - please be aware that I will continue as well in this thread the Vienna report.
Looking forward to it.
Just to add if you are listening to the Depeche Mode track " Useless "
Then make sure your listening to the 5.12 version from the ultra deluxe album and not the 4.53 version from the singles 86-98 album.
Hi Rafael, looking forward to meet you at the show in Milan. Can you please pass on your contact details to Richard so he can pass them on to me. Otherwise we will not know how to find each other during the show.
Yes please @Richard.Dane pass my email to @BertBird thank you.
Just finished the Stuttgart report under the thread Audio Show and Event Reports - #52 by BertBird
Please let me know if it’s appreciated or if I should limit or skip output on these type of shows. I put in quite quite some effort, but it seems like the Stuttgart show had gotten less traction as normal on my show reports. As I am heading to the two hifi shows in Milan it would be good to know if you are interested to also get there this quality of report or if you would like to see a more condensed report.
Obviously I will now also continue on the Vienna report to also get it finished, as I deliver on what I promise…, even if it’s rather late….
Love to read your reports. Vienna and Stuttgart as well. Really appreciate all the work that went into your posts. Love to check the test songs as well. I would like to read them, but fully understand if this is too much work for you.
Yes, absolutely. I always read all the posts. There are some hi-fi brands I’m not familiar with, and it’s fascinating to hear your impressions. I also really appreciate the audio samples from the shows and always listen to them via Qobuz. If I like them and they sound good on my system, I add them to my ‘Sound Demo’ playlist. It’s a real treasure trove for many hours of great listening. Thank you very much for all your hard work. There’s a lot of effort that goes into it.
@BertBird, I enjoy all your show reports, regardless of the size of the show/venue.
You must of course be somewhat selective of the shows you visit. You can’t go to them all! I for one will relish your reports, whichever shows you cover.
As I have already commented, the music you identify being played during your visit is as important to me as the kit.
Many thanks from me, your efforts are appreciated.
100% appreciated Bert!! The effort you put in is certainly not underestimated and I just hope that you don’t feel pressured or that this takes away the enjoyment of the shows.
