I suddenly have a horizontal line on the display of my Nova (see screenshots), and the device is less than two months old.
I have completely shut down the Nova three times (removed all power cables) and left it off for 24 hours, but the line is still on the display.
As I’ve seen in other comments, this is a known issue with Naim. Honestly, there aren’t that many known issues with a China-Somalia device from the flea market for 1 euro.
What options do I have left to fix this problem? A hard reset will definitely not help, in my opinion.
The latest firmware is installed on the device.
I suspect a €1 device from the flea market is slightly less complicated. Something like a bottle opener doesn’t have much to go wrong.
It looks very much like a fault in the screen, so speak to your dealer and ask for a replacement. Do remember that the vast majority of Naim products do not have problems; we tend to these for more from the owners of those that do.
How long do repairs take at Naim, and is there a chance that I will receive a new device from Naim?
I’m just afraid that if Naim repairs the display, I’ll end up with a device in even worse condition, and something could always happen during transport back and forth.
