I upgraded the Nova on Friday, since then:
1: system froze and required power cycle
2: system stuck playing radio station, couldn’t change to any other source or station - required reboot to resolve
3: system reloaded by itself
4: multiple times the volume control in the app stopped working
5: doesn’t allow new tracks/album to be added to play queue (from native Qobuz)
6: requires Qobuz username to be entered almost every time I open it
Just about to go and power cycle again as it has locked up again, not allowing me to play anything, wife’s enjoying the silence, but I am appalled by how bad it is.
Bad luck. I upgraded the firmware in my Nova and NDX 2 without a hitch. Both work perfectly.
Perhaps your download became corrupted.
I’d download again and then do a mains reset.
I hope that helps. . . .
I upgraded my Nova with new firmware and has been fine apart from having to re- enter Qobuz password every time. I have emailed Naim support and they have replied that they are aware and working on a fix
I also upgraded, no problems. I guess, your network is not stable.
In general power cycle is a good idea. It’s better also to restart the App.
6. is right (during the beta I announced this problem, maybe was a misunderstanding because bad english)
The Qobuz login issues are being dealt with by Naim.
I have gone through many steps with support and there software team, and they think they have found a solution which will involve an app update.
Hopefully tomorrow I will be trialling a new update to see if it sorts out the login problems.
The update with my nova didn’t go smoothly as well. Tried multiple power cycles, mains power down and 2 factory resets. The sq is nice but the app doesn’t always respond or can’t be found at the rooms page and airplay streaming is not available anymore.
