Rojo, with all due respect, have you tried to explain your wife what are sofas thought for? :-)))
If Rojo’s wife is anything like my wife, it’ll be pointless explaining.
Fortunately, my wife is fairly forgiving of my music and our seating, which is why we are not divorced - it would probably have happened had I married somebody else!
I am very lucky. My wife loves the shape and appearance of the guitar so doesn’t make a fuss if I leave one on the sofa for a couple of days. Plus, she is happy to know I play.
What is really weird to me is that she, a choir conductor, often tells me what a mystery the guitar is to her, and how tricky she thinks connecting the frets and the strings is. I still remember how quickly I learned the chords. A fret, a semitone. Then came studying harmony and all the inversions, but this is another story. I’ll retire in 4 months, and I mean, by all means, to become a decent player again.
