How to play Apple Music in ND555

I plan to play apple music on my ND555. Want to know which one is the best practice.

  1. Airplay
  2. Typec-RCA cable connect to ND555

Which one is better. Do anybody has better solution? Thanks so much.

Airplay is simple and effective.

Wired connection to a 2nd gen Naim streamer doesn’t work into the USB socket as on did on 1st gen models. If you want anything like decent sound quality you would need to put a DAC on the phone via an Apple CCK cable and wire that to your preamp. Something like an Audioquest Dragonfly works well here.
Sending the digital signal to your streamer would require a USB to SPDIF converter - I’ve never tried this from a phone but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work.

Airplay sounds very good but currently it’s limited to lossy 256 kbps AAC streams for most equipment - it’s potentially capable of better and Naim apparently have the support in place if and when Apple actually allow it/throw the switch.

Buy a Wiim Pro and connect digitally to ND. This will providev16/44 fir Airplay.
