Dipper out of curiosity have you tried the speakers on a bookshelf close to the wall, I am looking for a system for my daughter and am interested in the HE with active speakers. Due to her room layout and partner putting them on stands is not an option and did you try other speakers with the HE, any advice welcome.

I ended up with the Twenty5 23i floorstanders. I wasn’t looking for desk top speakers and I’m not sure what the active PMC stand mounters would sound like on a desk. They’re a bit big as well.
I tried active Acoustic Energy AE1 stand mounters and they were very good with the HE for price but again I’m not sure if they would work so well on a desk.
When I was looking for speakers someone did suggest PMC Result6 active studio monitors (for near field listening) so you may wish have a listen to them.
