Identifying new CDs

I wish I could be shocked.

Can’t you use dBpoweramp and add the ripped tracks with correct info?

I add all details manually using N-serve.

I ripped my CDs with excellent dBpoweramp four years ago and as I indicated elsewhere I am continuously tweaking my metadata. Not sure how feasible/practical that might be on something like a Unitiserve.

I am wondering how long new it takes for a newly released CD’s metadata to get added to the databases used by the Naim during ripping?
Is it worth waiting a few days for it to be added and try ripping again or bite the bullet and do the tedious task of entering it manually?

@paulbysea makes a good suggestion
I have found that after a few days or weeks most cd’s which come up as unknown when first bought get added to the database and the metadata becomes available. I have a complete Berlioz box which was 90% unknown to start with and is much better now.
