Whilst I respect your point I donât see whatâs negative about stating a preference for a previously released FW. Similar observations happen all the time on the forum. Letting this thing ruin our listening experience is another thing all together. As we saw with DBâs 3.10 USB âtrickâ for example Naim receiving critical feedback from forum members can have a positive result.

Some of us think the reverse is true.
We have a gold standard in 3.8.x and if we hadnât collectively held Naim to account youâd still be listening to 3.10.x with an impression that it was good because you were told that was so.
No need for apathy.
Also, @Cohen1263, credit where credit is due as I believe it was @stavrose that first raised USB and thankfully Darkebear followed up with detailed steps and advice.

One thing Iâm wondering about: does firmware also affect the sound quality of the analog input on a Naim Uniti Nova? As far as I know, the analog input is digitized inside the amplifier.

Firmware controls the behavior of the hardware. So, it could. Naim has generally been very good about sussing these effects out across their product lines, though.

3.11 for me since having ND555 power supplies serviced has been all good this end. Having said that i still have faith in Naim and our wonderful Beta TeamâŚno pressure guys!!!

Good idea.
It would save a lot of aggravation if you spelled out who is actually responsible for policing the new rules. Or, more to the point, who isnât.
