I have never used any liquids to clean my CD lens, however will admit that I do use my vacuum cleaner nozzle → a careful non touching sweep around the tray, then holding it steady and very tightly about 40mm above the lens for about 10 seconds. My thinking is that doing it this way avoids pulling more dust and debris towards it before cleaning.
NOTE Please do not attempt to do this yourself unless you very are confident in success, otherwise you risk possible damage to your player!
Thanks, yes that sounds very familiar from our past Naim players. No mention of cleaning the lens and definitely no fluids. I’ve never done so since, even though we don’t have a Naim player anymore.
