In Today’s News…

Unreal isn’t?! If it was a novel, you’d think it was a bit far fetched.

I suspect this sort of persecution is carried out by large corporations on regular basis. Of course some of the worst behaviour of this type is carried out by the press itself on an almost universal level. Considering the amount of money these individuals were paid when employed by Ebay, the fines they were forced to pay is a drop in ocean. It certainly won’t stop it happening again.

That is horrific. I wonder if they were a one-off or whether others suffered similar persecution and either didn’t track down the source or were too intimidated to take them on (or settled under an NDA).

You’d have thought the benefits may have been frozen too…

A perfect example of someone for whom any prison sentence is entirely inappropriate.

Not sure about why a Times article I posted about a Ukrainian firm relocating to the UK to help out the RN was binned..?

Anyway, worth a look if you’re allowed to do so.

Is it just me? Such a shame about Jodrell Bank. I don’t wish to push any "boundaries " here, been there done that, but i found it very inspiring as a teenager with regard to science. Went on a trip there from 6th form. Still remember it today. I hope it’s saved.

Is that one of the start-ups in Fareham? They have been several articles in the local rags recently

I hate the idea of that space junk like that rocket part polluting the Moon
Leave it alone we don’t have to ruin that as well.
We can’t look after this planet as it is. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

That may be, however all kinds of space sh.. has been smacking into the moon for a few billions years. Who knows what alien minerals and life forms have been detonated across its surface? And cheese.

Many were increasingly of the opinion that they’d all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no one should ever have left the oceans.

I stopped wearing a digital watch years ago.

In fact I haven’t worn a watch for, erh how long? …. must be years.

I would “never” give up my Apple Watch Ultra. In fact, I don’t remember when I started wearing a digital watch; my first one was a Casio, back in the 70s.

Pointless, but I suppose relatively harmless.

If more people would do these kind of activities, world peace is near!

Certainly better than some other activities.

We get all sorts of data and analysis sent to us, some of it is more interesting than others…These two bits of info. were quite enlightening when viewed together though.

That’s the interconnectedness/AI way of things now.

When you look at actual profits though @Jamiewednesday the picture is not as rosy as it first looks.

Tesla, although it does make a profit, those profits have been falling year on year. Greater competition along with governments reducing or stopping EV incentives.

Intel has been a complete basket case for years only going back into profit in Q3 2025. It’s market share has been slashed by AMD because Intel believed AMD would never make a better product.

SpaceX of course has never made a profit and all it sits on at the moment is promises that may or may not materialize at some unknown time in the future.

My view is that all this will come crashing down at some point. When it does it will make the Dot Com bubble and the banking crisis combined look like some small blip that we all wished we could go back to.
