In Today’s News…

Back in the 80s a colleague (former Coldstream Guards officer) and I were working away.

We went out for a few bevvies and a curry and found that there was an offer on Newkie brown. Collect the tops from 12 bottles and send off for a free pair of sunglasses :glasses:.

By the end of the evening he had collected his 12 tops. I had just a couple of pints of bitter.

Beware what you fish for!

An invasive mosquito species known to spread diseases has been found breeding in some east London homes.

This looks like lots of fun.

My wife is a volunteer there and everyone involved are very excited

Monty quits Gardeners’ World. At last. Great presenter, but God he was dull, lack of inspiration and only interested in growing seeds every week on the cheap.

…is that not the essence of gardening…

I will miss him, and his dogs…

That’s a shame - who will take over?

…Allan Carr…

I hope not…

wouldn’t surprise me, he’s in everything else! Presumably one of the existing team will step up, I quite like Adam Frost

Stop drinking all that hot tea!! The BBC News must think everyone is a bit dim - food pipe indeed! What would they call an anus, a poo hole?

Drink cold beer instead.

That’s coz jounalists can’t spell oesofagus……

And I can’t spell it either, so I do have some sympathy…..but not much!

With the sheer number of teas and espresso’s I sink each day, I’m done for…

But the daily Cognacs will ease my departure.
