I have changed my Innuos selection to what Petersfi suggested. Normally I have the Innuos connected to a Chord DAC by USB. But I have switched back to UPNP/DLNA bridge. One network difference between the setup you described and mine, I have the streamer ethernet port connected directly to the Innuos streamer port.
After that it got difficult to make the new setup work successfully. Firstly I needed to find the Lyrion Music server (LMS) on the URL http:/<my_innous_server>:9000. Then I had to locate server->settings->plugins in the LMS menus. That is not easy to explain because there are several different LMS user interfaces (I have Material Skin). Then I needed to install the UPNP/DLNA bridge. There are several defined setups, one of which is the Naim NDS and another is Naim NDS V2. There is also a Naim NDX setup. Differences?: I donât know. I think it might come down to supported bit rates, sampling frequencies and formats (WAV/FLAC/DSD/etc). Finally I could set the bridge running. However, in amongst all this I had to restart LMS at virtually every change to see if it worked. It does physically send music to the Naim. Is it good? I will have to calm down and listen for a while now.
I have set up something wrongly because the sense app will play one track only and then it repeats the last ten seconds of that track over and over. To play an album I have to press next track at the end of each song. If I can get it right it will improve the functionality of my system giving me easy access to qobuz and internet radio (without the flaky vtuner).
I have connected my Zenith Mk III to my NSC 222, and previously NAC-N 272, using a Mk I Meridian Explorerâs optical output to effectively convert from USB to SPDIF optical.
I donât really see a significant difference between this and UPNP from the server in either case.
Although no longer available, or supported, Explorer Mk Iâs are available on the bay. Note the Mk II does not offer an optical output.
the issue is likely a box checked (or not) in the lms. An innuos tech would fix that quickly working remotely. Also need to be signed in to Qobuz via Sense but you have likely done so.
Thanks for the suggestion, I am using qobuz and I have put my username and password into Sense. I think it must be something I have put into the LMS UPNP/DLNA bridge settings.
Thanks Gary, I believe I have a current Qobuz subscription so will check the login process next. I have got a locally stored album to play through successfully with a reboot of the Zen. So progress is being made.
Just giving my Zenith Mk III a serious workout , transferring Barenboimâs Complete Wagner Operas freshly converted to FLAC from my Mac to the Auto Import folder, some 277 tracks.
Not helped initially by Amazon splitting them into three zips and giving them all the same name, shuffling the download order each time.
You can ask also Nuno, from Innuos. I remember you can stream QobuzâŚetc , using Innuos Sense, both Innuos and Nd555 connected by lan, and the streamer was still the Nd555.
