I’ve noticed after updating to version 3.1 of the Sense app that I cannot pause a track and then continue from the same point. As soon as I press the pause icon, the track indicator goes to the beginning of the track. I’m not 100% sure that this started happening only with this particular update; I have a dim recollection of this happening before the 3.1 update but was too preoccupied with other things to really notice.
I posted about this on the Innuos forum. Response was that this does not happen with the Default UPnP profile so is likely a problem with their Naim profile (I’m using an NDS streamer and the version 2 NDS profile). There will allegedly be changes to SenseUPnP in the 3.2 update, although there is no indication of when this will be released.
I’m posting here just to see if others using Naim streamers with the Sense app have experienced this.
Have you also had any issues with Auto Import on your Zenith?
Since the recent updates on both Zenith and Mac I can no longer copy complete (FLAC) albums from the Mac to the Zenith, the copy fails with a MacOS error 51. However, I can copy the album 1 or 2 tracks at a time.
Sadly no help immediately apparent on Google/internet.
I’ve had no problem using Auto Import for FLAC files on my Zen Mk 3 with Windows 11. So perhaps this is a Mac or iOS thing? Have you tried reaching out to Innuos either through their support email or their users forum?
Out of curiosity after your first post, I changed the UPnP profile to NDS/NDX. What happens is different but equally strange. Pressing the pause icon while playing a track causes the icon to change to the play icon and the horizontal line that runs along to bottom of the screen to show elapsed time stops, as expected. However, the track keeps on playing! It does seem to stop after a period of time and navigating to other menus. So the NDS v2 profile is the lesser of two irritants. Obviously, improvements to the UPnP implementation are sorely needed.
Innuos reckon it’s a MacOS thing too, whilst a bit obvious, I have to agree as it’s only occurred since the MacOS 15 Sequoia release - probably another Apple ‘nanny knows best’ (SMB) compatibility/security feature/lock you into iCloud undocumented feature .
One file at a time it is then, at lest for the time being .
