I’m in the same place Dan. I had my crazy period spending silly money and I’m now just enjoying listening to music again and spending my money on other things or saving it!
It’s such an addictive hobby, before you know it all you do is chase the next upgrade and forget to enjoy what you already have right now in front you.
I think a lot are myself included. I haven’t got any plans for anything new or need any. Plus i can’t justify it as what i have is already over the top, but it is nice lol.
Don’t forget your children ( as grand pa). 
I have not thought about the little devaluation of Rolex. Maybe even their prices increase, if they are limited edition.
I spend a small fortune on my kids. They are not forgotten!
The stainless steel Rolexes are best investments. Used Steel Submariners go for well over RRP. You can’t get on waiting list at all unless you spend alot with your authorised dealer for some watches. I have gone for 2 tone stainless steel/gold watches. They don’t appreciate as much, but have gone for what I want. In long term they are an investment. You won’t go wrong with a Rolex.
I have 2. That will do for now. Focusing on home improvement projects and work for now.
Correct young man. Leave them to the kids, oh and the other 3 that you’re going to purchase later 
They will be very grateful. Like having solid gold bars in ones pocket. 
Absolutely. I enjoy them and nowadays it’s better to put your money into buying gold or silver or Rolex watches than alot of other investments!

Back to topic guys. I had great results with NDS ND5XS2 and 555PS. This keeps things simple and all Naim soundstage.
ND555 and 2 x 555 PSDRs is ultimate way to go with Naim system.
If you deviate it won’t be Naim and will be a hybrid. If you want to keep it pure go all Naim.
The Sonore Bridge and all the rest of it never appealed to me. You need to be a techno geek to set up that stuff up and have alot of knowledge which I don’t have. Will it sound better ? Or just non Naim different?
Keep it simple and ND5XS2 into NDS or nDAC and one or two 555PSDRs is way to go.
I now love my ND555 and 2 x 555PSDRs. Been some issues with firmware but that is water under the bridge now!!
Ive also spent a small fortune over the past year or so, the system sounds immense after adding an Innous Pulsar and the ATC SCM20PSLT speakers.
Thats it for me until we move to the coast in a few years.
Future: The digital side of things will stay (DAVE / Pulsar) but depending on room size I may go ATC 50 passives and stick with the 552DR/500DR.
Who knows, but for now “Happy Chappy”

Unfortunately, with Naim profits at a low, I think a paper hat will do, or even cardboard if Naim can afford it

I will let you know how Lumin U2 mini/ Elite sound with Nds. I will still be able to listen to Nds bare with local files. And Lumin / Nds for Qobuz.

I am cooled down with the upgrade path as well. That’s what the fw gate brought to me on the bright side. Not only less expensive, also more relaxed …
Firmwaregate is still valid for me (a very few remain here), but with NDS I am relaxed and will wait for the things to come (with or without naim

My dealer has a stream 3. will visit him tomorrow. Don’t know if it has the correct output module. If so - I will take him home for demo some day.
But first I check for the Epos n7 loudspeaker
Funny thing, I have visited my dealer yesterday to listened to the Stream 3, using both its analog and USB outputs. A home demo will follow once I have sorted out my cables.
The Stream 3 with the integrated Phoenix DAC is a very tempting option. It’s a true all in one in my books - server, streamer and dac. I would be very interested to hear anyone’s experience of a home demo. I’m some way off upgrading my system, but a stream 3 with active ATC speakers is quite high up on my list of options.
The unit from my dealer had a DAC module. But I need the spiff module. Sad… need to look for another option for demo.
But damn is this thing heavy.
Or look for a fully spec’d zen next gen. including DAC.
