I’m evaluating to purchase a Stream 1 as Music server for my NDX2+XPSDR. I’m looking for Stream 3 but it’s a pity to be used for music library only. Other solution adopted here by you guys?

An update since a week. I may stay for now with my Nds and maybe upgrade my server from Melco N1zh2 to N5, second hand.
Selling the former and buying the later second hand will cost around 2k.
I am quite sure the uplift will be clearly noticeable, as it was when i changed from N1a2 to N1zh2.
No rush, just the last thinking for now.

I realised that I am still no interested by online streaming. So I don’t need a streamer.

Hey @drago . I believe you can send your Zenith 3 for Next Gen upgrade. It will upgrade your Nds sound.

I remember some Statement owners here upgraded to next gen. I think to remember they had to ship it for the upgrade service.

Yes - I will. Could use it as server and streamer into NDS - with spdif output module.
So no extra box!

I use the Audiophilleo 2 with PurePower battery pack to accurately clock the spdif. It’s doubly galvanically isolated. Still sounds excellent to my ear with a Zenith Mk 2. Never bothered to fit an expensive USB cable from the Zenith and none needed onto nDAC BNC connector. nDAC provides the power to the PurePower only when the AudioPhilleo 2 is resting. The Zenith can be some way away from nDAC. The AudioPhilleo is quite expensive.

My only interest would be to see if the DAC side could be improved.

I just googled the NG Zenith - c£14k, nearly 4 times more than I paid for my Zenith mk3 3 years ago…..
