Interesting TV

Masterchef - The Professionals , the candidates last night suffered in the Skills Test, it makes great TV if you enjoy sadism . I think any chef who appears on the show is playing a form of professional Russian Roulette

It is one of my very favourite programmes and I usually watch the final on Christmas afternoon, but this year I am hoping that Wallace and Gromit follow the King’s speech

I should say that for my 60th birthday I treated myself and a friend to a tasting menu cooked by a finalist

Superb

I preferred Marcus’ test - gave contestants a bit of leeway ( not that it helped them!). Monica’s test required them to know the exact recipe which seemed a bit harsh

Just Mercy - Netflix true story. Racism and justice in Alabama. Excellent.

‘Lucan’ on BBC iPlayer.

Until I Kill You was on ITV last week and I thought it was excellent. Anna Maxwell Martin was superb.

Also the follow up documentary. Worth watching. All very sad and somewhat depressing about the state of the police and their ability to stop this kind of thing occurring. ( Not just the UK police, but generally)

Watched first 3 episodes and morbidly compulsive. Evans Peters plays Dahmer almost too well.

The second series of “The Old Man” is on Disney Plus. I’ve binged it all!

The gap from series 1 is so long that I’d have done better to rewatch that before going into series 2 in order to refresh my memory of the plot threads.

BBC Children in Need. Watching with a tear in my eye. Please donate.

I’ll donate but it is utterly p’ss poor shi… telly. Mel is the only talent among them.

But you can get away with it if it is for charity.
It is the children, charities and organisations who are the real stars of the night.

Middle class hand wringing, or pay a penny extra on income tax and raise 7 billion.
I’m not a fan.

Yes, but it doesn’t go to the right places, that’s the point of CIN.

Too political and too big a subject for here perhaps. We must agree to disagree.

Watched a great doco The Beatles ‘64 last night of Disney+. Lots of interviews and footage I’d never seen before, also those with AV systems should enjoy the mix. Highly recommend.

Watched “The Driver” whilst in holiday home. Dog too tired for an evening wander yesterday

4 episodes, from 2014, but we’d somehow missed it. Stars David Morrissey.

Solid 7/10
