“And So It Goes”. Two part Billy Joel film on Sky Documentaries, and available on catch-up.

Great documentary chronicling the music career of one of my favourite artists, Billy Joel. Highly recommended.

Gave up on ‘Down Cemetery Road’ after 20mins. Affected annoying characters who we found unwatchable.

Over to ‘Slough ‘ouse’ to watch some others who are watchable.

Me too. I thought the plotting poor, the characters risible. Twenty minutes it was.

Riot Women was another let-down, after Sally Wainwright’s brilliant Last Tango In Halifax and Happy Valley. Lazy writing, clumsy plotting, ridiculous characters and a disbelief that stubbornly refused to be suspended.

Just finished “Murder before evensong” streaming on Acorn - Found it to be really well made and acted - Amanda Redman is a scene stealer as Audrey, Canon Clements mother - and Matthew Lewis a very credible Canon Clement.

Yes, we have just finished it as well, really enjoyed it. Strong cast and a good story line. Written by the Rev Richard Coles, he of Communards fame. There are more books in the series so they might do more.

It was good fun, a bit like a sophisticated Midsomer Murders but that might be being unkind to it. Hope they do some more.

I actually endured a whole episode but the script was ludicrous and the characters even worse. What on earth was Emma Thompson doing as such a preposterous character? No doubt, she was well paid for demeaning herself.

The Asset Netflix - cracking Danish undercover cop thriller, twisty turny taut as a taut thing. My only doubt is are drug dealers really more honourable than plod trying to nail em?

Well it’s from 2023 so not new but while browsing Netflix last night I thought Fubar starring Arnie might be amusing.

I can honestly say I’ve never seen such a load of cheesy poorly acted boring tripe in my life - I wasn’t setting a high bar expecting a great show but I had to turn it off.

Amazing how poor it was compared to Stallone’s Tulsa Kings on Paramount.
