Hi everyone, just purchased one of the last available muso Qb units and being an old git with little tech ability I am trying to complete the set up by sorting how to play my iPad music to muso, I assume I have to set it up as a server, I have the I.p. Number to identify the iPad but cannot see how I add a server. Any information would be welcome.
If you just want to play music that’s on your iPad then, provided you have both connected to a wireless network, it’s easiest to just use Airplay.
That shouldn’t be necessary. Swipe down from the top right on your iPad and tap the AirPlay icon (a triangle with circles round it). Your QB should be on the list of devices. Tap it and music on the iPad should come through your Muso.
Apologies if you knew all this already.
Roger
Many thanks, I think I was going down a wrong alley there. I was wondering if air play is better quality than Bluetooth, any other setting suggestions welcome. So far I have set the radio presets and disabled the loud setting set the room position option.
Airplay will stream lossless from your iPad so should be much better than Bluetooth.
The Server input requires you to run a UPnP music server on a device connected to your home network. I’m not sure if any are available that will run on iOS devices: most people would run one on a NAS or computer rather than a portable device.
Presumably you have music stored on your iPad? Putting a copy on a USB stick and connecting that to the Muso USB port is another option. Otherwise use Airplay, Chromecast or Bluetooth.
If you are streaming music, Spotify, Tidal or Qobuz can cast directly from their own apps.
Many thanks, good to be reminded about the stick option.
