Iplayer sound quality on Humax PVR

I notice the sound quality on BBC iPlayer is far better than Freeview broadcast. Does anyone agree? Comments would be interesting to read.

Interesting … I’ve an ancient Humax (satellite) that does not support BBC iPlayer so I installed an Apple TV, which is fed by fibre broadband. I prefer the sound from the Apple but subjectively the picture is better from the Humax.

I find iplayers audio lacks body compared to straight from live TV on my V6 virgin box. Neither are particularly stellar.
