Was expecting a delivery by Yodel today from an Ebay seller. Tracking when I click on the Yodel tracking number says “due for delivery today”. Everywhere else it says “delivery on Friday 5th June”. Nice. Yodel make Evri look like a premium service.
Absolute worst for us are EVRI, who throw stuff over the 6 foot fence, and Parcelforce/Royal Mail, who posted my father’s probate papers (sent via special delivery and signed for!!!) to a house on the wrong street and then faked the signed for signature. That one takes a lot of forgiving and I’m not there yet.
Best regards, BF
Several times Evri have lobbed deliveries over our full height side gate. Sometimes they have ended up a considerable distance away from the gate so must have been thrown with some force. Several of these packages contained fragile items such as glassware and were clearly marked with “FRAGILE” stickers. It was only bcause they were so well packaged that prevented the entire contents being smashed. This is just plain stupidity in my book. No excuse at all.
BTW nothing like a thoroughly good rant is there. I’m starting to feel so much better already!
“Is any company more sh 1t than DHL”
Ohhhhhhh yes, without any shadow of a doubt. Ever heard of a company call Hermes ? They were so bad and had such a bad reputation, they took the opportunity to morph into Evri at the back end of Covid (hoping no one would notice). Ever since then Evri have fully embrased the enshityfication of the entire courier industry in the UK. In fact so much so that they could easily be called industry leaders in this, leading the way for others to follow.
In my area of Worcestershire they are 100% consistent in being completely unable to deliver when they say they will. Even if they do deliver it, it’s never to my actual address, or even in the town i live in. Once they did deliver, sort of, the driver chucked a cut glass wine decanter over my 6ft back gate…………………..
Aviod like the plague.
Evri have one thing, and one thing only to commend them. They are cheap. Unfortunately that applies to their standard of service (if you can call complete ineptitude “service”) as well as their costs.
FedEx delivered a 27kg parasol base to the wrong house a 1/4 of a mile away from me ![]()
Same here however for stuff that that never turns up FedEx !!
Right im lucky my Evri lady courier is superb
All our delivery drivers seem to think that our house is part of a game of ‘knock and run’.
the exception is Amazon who seem to think it’s ok to deliver us everyone else’s packages or dump our packages at the bottom of the drive….
