I am a total Newbie in Naim terms and looking for some feedback on potential choices.
Right now I have an ageing Quad 33 pre-amp into a pair of 50Ds. All dating from the late 1970s! I have a pair of Spendor A6 which are great.
It’s time to upgrade as I need to get a decent streamer. My idea is to replace the 3 Quad components with an XS3 amp, to which I can add a streamer easily.
I’m wondering what opinions are on the XS3/Spendor match or should I think again ?
I also run a Roksan Caspian Cd and an elderly Dunlop Systemdeck.
Music taste is very eclectic - from Chopin to Miles Davis, country, folk, rock etc.

Should be fine with the A6. I have used an earlier xs2 with my A5’s and it works OK but the A6 is an easier speaker to drive than the A5 and the later design is meant to give a little more clarity and bass. Should be good.

Alternatively you could update the 33 with the latest 33/303 or 3
How about a Naim Nait 50? Keeps the retro look and should well with the Spendors assuming you don’t want concert-hall volume levels.
Just a follow up if you are looking at pre owned. I would choose the Supernait 2 over the xs3. The suggestion of a nait 50 seems a good one also, but I haven’t heard that.
If the OP is considering used, why not the SN3? I don’t know how the A6 compares to the A4, but I had no problem driving the A4. I was also able to Drive the D7.2 with the SN3.
SN2 is much the same but without the phono stage and extra cost.

Thanks for the thought, however the Quad gear is so old now and unrepairable here in France (the 33 is playing up a bit). I would miss the lovely retro look and sound probably.
Id love to look at preowned, but in France the only real option is new as the market is very small. After the dreaded Brexit it costs an arm and a leg to import stuff
