If you can get the “technique” editing works fine. You’ll have to “unlearn” it when it’s fixed though

When writing or editing a post if the cursor position plays up on my iPad I find turning it from landscape to portrait temporarily sorts out the issue. Not a fix but it does normally allow me to finish the post. I’m using Chrome on iOS 26.01.
Tried that a few times with DDG and Safari but no.
Find that as I’m typing a post there is zero consistency in the bug and zero consistency in fixes. One of a number of annoyances with iOS 26.
Cursor problems persist on 17 Pro. Any fixes yet? Thanks.

Yes, iPhone 12 Mini and iPad Pro both updated. I only use the forum on the latter but.. zero difference for me. If anything then slightly worse.
I just put it on my iPad Pro and the reply box is quite small and won’t let me re-size it. It’s quite a lot bigger if I then edit it.
Going from landscape to portrait and back helps with the editing though. This is using Safari (and this latest edit was with 26.0.1 on my iPhone Pro)

Is it still an Apple issue or is it Discourse or Naim?
I believe it’s an Apple issue, but I am active in another forum that runs on the Discourse platform and there is no problem there (but it’s much less photo heavy). So it may partially be how Naim uses the Discourse platform.
Or to put it another way, I don’t know!
Well, iOS26.1 has only just been released in the last day or so. I’m keeping an eye on the Discourse Meta but would guess that that they will be seeing whether Apple have fixed the issues and seeing what they need to do for the next update to ensure the platform works OK with the latest release.
FWIW, the only report I’ve seen so far says it’s working OK for them with an iPhone but not with an iPad, so there may well need to be a Discourse update.

Same as before. I don’t get it with any other forum or web site, so I suspect its this forum hosts interaction.

Interesting! I do not have any issue with it at all, but it may be it is an exception because I use the Brave brower on my iPhone.
Working fine for me on phone and pad.
Last update worked fine for me for about 12 hours.
Running iPadOS 26.1 on my iPad Air 3. If I try to reply to a post when in landscape the cursor slowly scrolls to the top of the thread! Turning to portrait puts the cursor back to the edit box where it should be. What’s up with this!!! Even in portrait I get weird scrolling behind the keyboard. It’s a mess.

Oddly, sometimes (like now) it behaves OK in landscape. I still have the weird scrolling behind the keyboard, but the cursor is in the right place. Why is it inconsistent?

Assuming this is an Apple issue related to this particular Discourse forum, I wonder if anyone at Naim could get an update from Discourse where Apple are with sorting this?
Are Discourse/Apple aware of this mess? Is anything being done to sort is?
Cursor still wandering for me using Android so not a purely Apple issue….

Further complicated by the fact that other Discourse driven forums don’t have the issue we are having on this forum.
This implies that it might be an issue with Discourse on this particular forum?
