Issues with forum using iOS26

It’s still such a mess! I wonder if this really is Apple issues. Me don’t think so. Most likely Naim issue.

Flipping my phone to landscape and back again while typing a reply a couple of weeks ago seems to have permanently fixed the problem.

Nothing changed here. No issue on new posts. Editing is a nightmare. No fix sticks.

On my iPhone/iPad, I use Brave instead of Safari. Brave is a Chromium-based browser that makes external ad blockers unnecessary, yet drafting posts is just as frustrating as it is with Safari. This leads me to question whether the issue actually lies with Apple.

Have you tried using the discourse app?

I have but I couldn’t find the forum, nothing comes up in a search.

My phone only has problems on this site which makes me think the problem and not iOS26. whatever

Search on naimaudio Pete.

Now Apple have released 26.1 I can see on the Discourse Meta that they are working on improvements to the “composer’“. I would guess we will see these with the next Discourse update.

It’s an interesting first world issue. Says something about the value of the forum that, despite these issues persisting and being massively irritating, here we are every day on the forum.

How would I know which upgrades were available if I didn’t come here?

“Curiosity” allegedly  .

No, I haven’t tried the app, only the browser. It kind of works, but it’s extremely frustrating. However, I don’t have so much to share that I would get annoyed about it.

It is the same in their app. I therefor claim it’s a Naim issue. Logic if you have followed their web and forum skills in the past.

Today it seems to all be working fine, bar the weird scrolling behind the “glass” keyboard. I’ll try editing a post as this is my biggest issue.

Edit: Nope. Still an issue. I can’t see what I’m typing (in Landscape). Switching to Portrait resolves this.

2 months of bliss and now it’s gone all t!ts up again. Writing this hard work…

I’m not sure if this issue has been discussed here before (I’ve not read through all the posts), but I access the forum through Safari and have noticed recently that I can no longer see who has ‘liked’ any particular post. I used to be able to click on the ellipsis and it would show the avatars of all those who’ve liked the post. I’m using an iPad with iOS 18.6.2 if that’s relevant. Has anyone else noticed this? Or have I inadvertently clicked on something which has amended my settings?

It comes up at the bottom of the screen now on iPhone using Discourse. Clearly they’ve changed something the appears to be affecting each platform differently.

I do now have weird partially screen appearing at the top of some threads.

I think it’s best to wait for the next Discourse update, which should take into consideration the recent fixes Apple have applied to the iOS issues.
