I remember watching him play several times at Murryfield in the early 1970s in the great Welsh team of that time. A fantastic and inspiring player.

Yes, far too young.
Grew up watching the Welsh 70’s rugby greats on TV - add in some Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and Max Boyce, what a great fun cheesy time. Sometimes wish I’d been born a decade earlier as I might have been able to attend the matches and have a few pints afterwards as well as being exposed to some classic 60s/70s rock much of which I find hard to enjoy - simply wasn’t my era.
