James Caan gone

The great, and underrated, actor James Caan has died. Unforgettable in The Godfather ( bridesmaid any one?) but also in the wonderful Rollerball

Mitchum - “Alan Bourdillion Tra-who”?
Wayne - “Trahane”.
Caan - “Trahearn”.
Mitchum/Wayne - “…Trahearn”!

Rest in Peace Mississippi.

“Slither”.

Check it out.

Brilliant quote!

A sad loss - he was such an astonishingly powerful presence in The Godfather…

Never quite sure why but this is one of my favourite silly movies.

Perhaps because Alan Arkin is on top form.

When he got that call, we were all with him. RIP Sonny, he was the best.

A sad loss. One of my favourite films starring James Caan was Thief. And of course, who could forget his scene getting his wounded Lt through enemy territory to the field surgeon in A Bridge too Far. RIP.

Mickey Blue Eyes. He did comedy too.

Weird I was watching the film Poodle Springs earlier this week and just wondering if JC was still alive.

The last Philip Marlowe book.

This is a good piece on the BBC News site - I’d forgotten about Misery (OMG).

My favourite Jimmy Caan was in the lesser-known “Slither” back in the '70’s.

Hilarious movie.
