Paul reprises Dim and Cresc twice (perhaps an endless burden )and then the two Ellingtonians offer some fine music.

Never sure that Sam W’s lumberjack shoulders and wrists were best suited to small group drumming.
And then Willie Jones, much admired by Andrew Hill and Sun Ra. His musical appearances were apparently enlived perhaps improved-by his ability to move the piano around the stage with his knees.

He had a sharp and cold personality in many ways.

It’s not surprising as he was the victim of racism on many occasions.
Eventually he successfully sued the police.

Was the case a result of the time when Miles was beaten up by police outside a nightclub in New York?
