I’m listening to jazgrrove MIX #1 and the infos on the naim app says that it’s playng Matthias Lupri quartet. Then I opend the jazzgroove website and it says: NOW PLAYING : Ken Peplowski.
Why this difference?

The Stream shown in Naim should be correct… however, currently we have a special promotion with Jazz Groove this month. Bonus!
They’re providing all Naim & Focal customers free access to their premium streams. So:
- FLAC lossless
- Improved MP3 streams (256k instead of 128k), with no limits attached.
So there is a skew between the free demo streams on their website, vs the premium ones we have.
I’ve done a few spot checks on what is actually playing vs the metadata and it seems correct. I’m no Jazz expert but from taking the metadata shown and then searching & playing that track in Qobuz gave the same track.

Jazzgroove is great! There are many different jazzgroove channels (Mix 1 & 2, Dream, Gems etc).
However I’ve realised they add some “magic” to their files so they are not as the original if you compare to a FLAC say on Tidal/Qobuz.
In October, I became a Naim streamer customer, and have thoroughly enjoyed the five premium Jazz Groove stations,
Such a wonderful deal that Naim had with the JG . Sorry to see the five premium stations in the Naim app end today.
Will now need to work out how to get a premium subscription into the Naim app.
I have emailed support at jazz groove about that and got an answer below.
We are currently working directly with Naim on a solution to get Jazz Groove Premium stations into Naim devices. I have contacted them today and requested updated instructions. I apologize for the delay, but I don’t have the exact steps at this moment.
Rest assured, I will send the directions to you as soon as I receive them from Naim
I use jazz groove through Roon. Copy the link from JG page and paste into Roon. Done. Never got it to work through vtuner even though I followed the steps.
JG through Roon also support meta data so if you hear something great you just click the link and off you go to the specific album.
Hi all,
The Jazz Groove Premium membership FLAC feed that was free in November has now ended. However, we have done a deal with Jazz Groove and on the Naim radio platform we have 256kbit mp3 streams of all their channels (normal feed is 128kbit mp3), but as this is their ‘free’ stream variant it has the membership drive encouraging listeners to sign up. This occurs every 2-3tracks.
We’re in the process of sending over info on how the ‘added stations’ feature works so the FLAC streams can be added by subscribed members.
