Kate Bush-Hounds of Love

What a ridiculous waste of resources. All it does is extract more money from wealthy old people with money to burn. Pathetic.

The forthcoming SACD’s of these are 30 dollars each…

Prices are high, but then again, so are second hand prices.

A percentage (unknown) of sales go to the War Child charity, who Kate has supported before.

They aren’t ‘records’ as such, not meant to be played, I guess, but ‘art’ pieces (to put on show near the stereo for some buyers, perhaps).

This will of course provoke outrage. How very dare she…

I’d rather buy some proper original art from a new artist, but to each their own. I told my wife about this, thinking that it was effectively one song per side, and she commented that it was hardly ideal given the age of Forum members.

‘Proper’ art…?

Well, some people just love throwing their money at blatant cash grabs from record companies. Just a few months ago there was a flurry of excitement on the Classical music thread about Decca’s yet another new remastering of the Solti Ring. Costing about £400. Sheer madness.
